Monument Valley Visitor Center

Location: Monument Valley, AZ

Client: Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation

Duration: 11 months

Contract Value: $1.5 million

Construction of a new visitor center in Monument Valley. The project was constructed with masonry and timber framing. As the site is remote, ready mix concrete was delivered ‘dry batched’ and water added on site. A generator was used throughout construction as no improvements existed on the site. Another added complication was communicating with the field staff as there was no land line, no cell service, or internet available.
