The Grand Canyon Rangers Operations Building and Residence is a national historic landmark built in 1929 with Kaibab limestone, battered rubble piers, peeled wood columns and bracketed eaves. Materials and subcontractors were mobilized to the remote site from Flagstaff, Arizona and southern Utah.
